“Sushi and Beyond” is an animated series based on the bestselling book “Sushi and Beyond”. In 2009, food writer Michael Booth and his family set off for an extended stay in Japan to discover whether a Westerner could truly begin to understand the culture, myths and desires behind Japanese food. Booth’s book about their fascinating and funny journey through food-obsessed Japan, has turned into a 24-part animated series in 2015. This two Special Sauce episodes, “An English Family Eats the Spring” and “The Heart of a Sushi Chef”, joined in 2016 to explore more the diversity of Japanese foods!
